when giants fall…

If you want to know
Where I’m going?
Where I’m going, soon

If anybody ask you
Where I’m going
Where I’m going soon

I’m goin’ up yonder
I’m goin’ up yonder
I’m goin’ up yonder
To be with my Lord

I can take the pain
The heartaches they bring
The comfort in knowing
I’ll soon be gone

As God gives me grace
I’ll run this race
Until I see my Savior
Face to face

I’m goin’ up yonder
I’m goin’ up yonder
I’m goin’ up yonder
To be with my Lord

We bow in humble submission to our Lord and His sovereign will…see you when we get there! Rest in Peace Bishop Hawkins…you’ll never be forgotten.

memories…

So yesterday was my church’s 17th anniversary and it was an amazing day!  PCH…Still Standing!  Anyhoo, our guests in the afternoon tore the place up when they sang one of my all time favorite, classic gospel songs, ONLY A LOOK!!  WHAT?!?!?!?!   Needless to say, we went in after that.   Other than the love of the song itself and the appreciation of the pioneers who stood flat-footed and sang the gospel, was the memory of the countless times I’ve heard my grandmother and aunts sing that song and tear the roof off a good Baptist church. Here’s the best version ever featuring The Barrett Sisters, Rev. James Cleveland, Inez Andrews, Albertina Walker and others tearing up a Baptist church…Njoy!
